Meet Marvin Oduro

July 29, 2021 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Hard Hat Hang Up

Meet Marvin Oduro - Project Engineer and this month's Hard Hat Hang-Up feature.

Marvin was introduced to the construction industry through architecture and environmental design. Marvin's favorite thing about being a project engineer is the relationships he gets to build with the subcontractors and owners. He is currently working on the GAF Newkirk West Expansion, a 49,600 SF tilt-up distribution and office Building located on 20+ acres of site development and environmental remediations.

Marvin's most memorable and rewarding moment in his career was transferring from specialty subcontracting to general subcontracting. This change provided him with more opportunities to see and experience a project from pre-construction to construction and its final closeout phase. His favorite thing about working at CCG is the teamwork and growing with the team, adding "teamwork makes the dream work."

When not at work, Marvin loves to meditate, play basketball, and work out at the gym!
