Shaping the Future, Cristo Rey Intern Leads Shelter Build

May 16, 2025 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Community Involvement

Each year, Chesapeake partners with Cristo Rey to host a student intern and provide real-world experience in the construction industry. This year, our intern Laura led a special project to design and build a dog shelter for the Baltimore Humane Society with support from our team.

We recently celebrated the completed project with a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Laura and our team. We’re proud of Laura’s work and grateful for our continued partnership with Cristo Rey.

Projects like this remind us of the impact we can have when we invest in people. Looking to join a company that invests in the full potential of their associates and others? Click here to see our job openings, here.
