How did you get into the construction industry?
I have been drawn to the industry for some time. When purchasing my first home years ago, it was a complete renovation and I enjoyed the process of seeing all of my ideas come to life. However, it was just a couple of years ago while working as an Operations Coordinator for a GC in North Carolina where I was afforded the opportunity to learn some of the processes in construction on a rather large project. I enjoyed observing visionaries whether it was sitting amongst the VP's weighing in on pitch presentations for potential projects or observing subs work on their crafts in the field.
What do you like most about being a Project Coordinator?
What I like most about being a Project Coordinator is the uniqueness of each project. I love learning new things and I feel that I learn something new every single day.
What skills do you need to be successful in your role?
Skills needed would be to be proficient, professional, communicative, team-oriented, detail-oriented, flexible and multitasked.
What is your favorite thing about working at Chesapeake?
My favorite thing about working at Chesapeake is witnessing the growth of culture and professionalism over the short period of time that I have been here. I believe that leadership has been proactive in seeing to it that employees are happily employed here and/or are professionally prepared for opportunities elsewhere.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?
I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and attending Baltimore Ravens games -Go Ravens!
