Maryland Department of Health Parking Garage

November 21, 2025 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Project Spotlight

The scrim is up and the countdown has begun for the Maryland Department of Health Parking Garage.

Behind the mesh, work is underway on a new 1,100-space, post-tensioned concrete parking garage that will support the future Maryland Department of Health campus in downtown Baltimore. This structure is rising alongside another major milestone on the site: the 500,000 SF, five-story office fit-out for MDH’s new headquarters, which is also under construction.

The garage will provide essential parking capacity for employees, visitors, and the surrounding community, while the headquarters building will consolidate MDH operations into a modern, efficient workspace. Together, these projects represent a significant investment in the revitalization of the area and the long-term growth of the MDH campus.
