Construction Safety Week | Lacey Cohen

May 4, 2021 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Safety

It’s Construction Safety Week and we’re kicking off this exciting week by interviewing CCG team members to learn more about what safety means to them and why they work safe. First up is Lacey Cohen, Project Engineer and member of CCG’s Safety Committee.

What does safety mean to you?
“To me, safety is synonymous with awareness. Regardless of your location or surroundings, if you are aware of your setting, you are better prepared to deal with any situation. I have grown accustomed to identifying exits in case of an emergency or noticing where lights are in an empty parking lot or garage. By constantly being aware of your surroundings, you are acting in a safe manner.”

Follow along for more team member spotlights throughout the week!
