Chesapeake is proud to be the awarded general contractor for the renovation of the former Social Security Administration facility, known as Metro West, in Baltimore City.

The Metro West project includes the fit-out of 500,000 SF of interior office space, lobby upgrades, main entrance exterior enhancements, building skin modifications, and a new heating and cooling system.

This 1.1 million SF building that spans two city blocks was formerly the Social Security Administration facility until 2014, when the campus moved to Reisterstown, MD. Since then, the building has been vacant. This transformative project aims to rejuvenate the northwest corner of downtown Baltimore.
