CCG Hosted UMMS Golf Tournament that Raised $635,0000 for Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center

November 8, 2021 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Community Involvement

CCG worked closely with the University of Maryland Medical System to coordinate, promote, and organize their Bi-Annual Golf Tournament that took place on October 18 at Caves Valley Country Club. CCG has been the Champion Sponsor since. Over 144 golfers attended the sold-out event that featured a golf tournament, reception and dinner as well as live and silent auctions. CCG will again sponsor next year’s event, set to take place in the Fall 2022.

This year’s event raised $635,000 and the proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit the Building for Life Campaign, which will provide funding for the new Roslyn and Leonard Stoler Center for Advanced Medicine—the new home of the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.

“CCG is proud to once again support and strengthen the amazing work that takes place at the University of Maryland’s Cancer Center. Like many others in the community, our CCG family has been touched by cancer and we value the work they do for their patients, families and the community,” said Bobby Ginsberg, CEO. He added,” Giving back to the community is part of our corporate culture and we encourage our associates, trade partners and business consultants to join us in making a difference in the lives of others.”
