National Library Week

April 11, 2024 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Industry Highlight

We're celebrating National Library Week by shining a spotlight on the Brambleton Library in Loudoun County, VA. This library is more than just a place for books—it's a hub of resources, creativity, and community engagement.

Situated in the heart of Brambleton Town Center, the library spans 40,000 square feet over the lower two stories of a modern four-story office building. The architectural design reflects careful consideration: the two-story millstone boxes with punctuated openings pay homage to Loudoun County's historic mills, while the four-story brick walls accented with black iron evoke the area's adaptable commercial and industrial spaces.

Recognized with the NAIOP Built to Suit Institutional Facility of the Year award in 2019, the Brambleton Library is a testament to exceptional construction, with Chesapeake proudly serving as the project's general contractor.
