Cranes Rise Over Baltimore for Maryland Department of Health Parking Garage Project

March 12, 2026 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Project Spotlight

Two new cranes now rise over the Baltimore skyline as construction continues on the new 1,100‑space, post‑tensioned concrete parking garage for the Maryland Department of Health Headquarters.

The addition of the cranes marks a major milestone in the project, signaling vertical progress as the structure begins to take shape.

In addition to the parking garage, Chesapeake Contracting Group is also responsible for the Maryland Department of Health’s new headquarters, a 500,000‑square‑foot, five‑story office fit‑out in downtown Baltimore, further demonstrating our ongoing partnership with B&B Realty Services and Caves Valley Partners.
