Construction Safety Week Kick-off

May 6, 2024 | By Chesapeake Contracting Group | Safety

As we kick off Construction Safety Week 2024, it’s an opportune time to reflect on the impact each of us has on safety within our industry. Safety isn’t just about following rules; it’s about making the right choices, speaking up, and looking out for one another. The safety and success of our projects rely on the individual decisions and actions of every team member, regardless of their role.

Today, our Safety Team hosted a lunch-and-learn session for all associates, delving into the requirements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Throughout the session, we covered expectations for everyone on our jobsites, effective communication of safety requirements, strategies for overcoming challenges, and a glimpse into the future of safety protocols. Later this week, we will further celebrate Construction Safety Week with a company-wide standdown.
