The project is conveniently located at the corner of Key Highway and Lawrence Street (less than a mile from the neighborhoods of Federal Hill, Locust Point, South Baltimore, the Inner Harbor, Riverside, and McHenry Row). It is staffed with medical specialists from MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, and MedStar Harbor Hospital, as well as rehabilitation experts from MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network. The building offers plenty of free parking to patients with below grade parking horseshoed into a small footprint. The elevated second floor rear parking deck allows walk-up entrance, providing a rural feel to an urban building. Chesapeake Contracting Group faced an aggressive schedule on this project. It was completed on-time and under budget in just five short months. Extensive coordination was required to fit the prompt-care space into the shell building. Chesapeake worked diligently to meet the sophisticated needs and requirements of the MedStar Health professionals. As a company, we hold ourselves to higher standards on every project. Chesapeake Contracting Group’s project executives, project managers and superintendents work to ensure our client’s needs are met and exceeded from project concept to completion. Our superintendents in particular are constantly checking the design to what is being done in the field. At this project, we successfully overcame several space obstacles (tight site, aggressive schedule) and provided MedStar with its first urban prompt-care facility.

Chesapeake's team did an excellent job on the specialty work, such as, the glass monumental stairs and stone wall details. The building has been well received by both the staff as well as MedStar leadership
